Sustainable ExcellenceBuilding Green
Leading by example to demonstrate the benefits of the Triple Bottom Line:
People, Planet and Payback through education, corporate culture and practical construction solutions.

Sustainable Initiatives
Miron is committed to sustainability and truly believes that sustainable design and construction are not only good for the health and well-being of the building occupants and for the environment, but make economical sense as well.

To demonstrate our commitment to environmental responsibility and serve as an example to the communities in which we live, Miron has launched corporate-wide sustainable initiatives that will be integrated into our business management practices and operations, within our culture to expand our teams’ green knowledge and capabilities, to incorporate practical sustainable strategies into our daily construction operations, and extend our leadership to our clients.

Watch our Earth Day Celebration! Miron presented to more than 600 area elementary students throughout the day regarding the importance of Earth Day, explaining ways in which they can each help to conserve and protect the environment.

LEED Accredited Staff
With that mission comes a certain responsibility to construct facilities that reflect a genuine interest in environmental sustainability. Our sustainable initiatives are driven by our qualified team of 60 experienced LEED Accredited Professionals, and led by Theresa Lehman, Director of Sustainable Services for Miron Construction Co., Inc. Theresa is a council member of the USGBC, and has worked on over 50 LEED® certified projects, including successfully documenting and obtaining LEED® certification for Certified, Silver, Gold and Platinum projects for various building types.

LEED & Sustainable Projects
Our “green” project experience enables us to showcase sustainable construction is cost comparable to traditional construction through decreased payback periods and life cycle costs generated resulting from reduced energy consumption, reduced operation and maintenance costs, and improved health and productivity of the building occupants.

Our goal is to become your partner to lessen environmental impacts, to provide healthy places in which we live and work, and to demonstrate the value-added and cost-effective benefits that directly result from practical sustainable design and construction strategies. We are pleased to offer tours and/or discuss sustainable strategies that were incorporated into any of our environmentally-friendly projects, including more than a dozen LEED projects.
