UW-Madison Lakeshore Residence Hall &
Food Service Facility

The new UW-Madison Residence Hall and Food Service facility will accommodate the growing numbers of freshmen desiring to live on campus. The new facility, situated on the West end of campus, will include approximately 400 beds, common space including offices, service desk, laundry, tech center, programming space and a “marketplace” concept food service facility with seating for approximately 500. The new building will be five stories tall, with floors two through five serving as a dormitory space.

The ground floor will be a dining room area providing service to an estimated 3,250 students living in the Lakeshore residence halls. The tennis courts and parking lot currently occupying the land will be removed.
