Ames Middle School
Ames Community School District
Ames, Iowa

Ames Middle School provides expanded exploratory learning opportunities in energizing spaces. The new 246,000 SF school fulfills the district’s need to move to a grade 6-8 middle school program from a previous 7-8 configuration. The “V-wing” footprint creates distinct grade level areas with the administrative area is at the center of the “V” to provide clear visibility of students. The two-level academic wings provide natural daylight into every classroom, and the nearby creek and wooded areas provide beautiful views from the building and outdoor learning spaces.
