Named for the nearby creek and the heritage of the site (the new school stands on land known formerly as the Hemlock Creek Farm), the new two-story, 106,000 SF elementary initially houses 450 pre-K through fifth grade students. The new Hemlock Creek school eased crowding at the district’s other elementary school and allowed West De Pere Middle School, which served students in grades 5-8, to go back to a 6-8 grade format.
